OMG! That wedding was insane! Two people were murdered, one poisoned one stabbed, the groom's grandmother tried to kill us all and oddly enough people had a great time!. (The food was good though, I want that Egg recipe!)

The ecremony itself started out just fine if a little wierd in the "when I toss my flower you shall say "shoo bop shoo bop" way. I will totally blog more details later, after I finish touching up the pictures I took. (And when I have more spare time (It's Graduation and Wedding Time - we're really busy at Chez Pierre)!!!

So, Monday was Lotus' shower. Her she is holding the gift I got her:


I'd even wrapped it in an old Green Sheet (one of those local newspapers that everyone around her gets tossed on their lawn for free).


Tonight is the first wedding. They decided to remarry next week on Friday (at 7pm, at Heart of the Shepherd Lutheran Church in Howell, MI), more mumbo-jumbo about confusing Evil and Blessing Nature (or some other Hippie-stuff like that).  I hope it's fun. I have to go paint my nails - bridesmaids are wearing flip flops!

This is the weirdest wedding ever, the date has been changed  (again) to May 8, 2008. That's a Thursday! It starts at 7:30 pm (Doors open at 7:00pm). Some Mumbo-Jumbo having  to do with the Earth being at Peace and Nature being aligned (or something like that!) (Also there's apparently talk of a reiteration of the ceremony to protect the couple from Evil Forces!)

I have been busy getting ready for the rehearsal dinner - the Groom's Parents asked  Pierre if we could cater it! They ordered Crab Legs AND Caviar! The two most expensive things on our Menu! Most people go for the Cheese & Crackers and Roast Beef! Apparently, the Groom's Father has asked Pierre to have me give him the Bill at the Wedding - so they don't have to "Make an Extra Trip".

Also, I have to get something for the Bridal Shower. Any Suggestions on a Gift for a Flaky Hippie Bride?

Last Week, Fred asked me to take him to Home Depot to get a few things (I've been making him fix stuff since he's not doing anything all day). Anyway, I discovered this Great area called "Oops! Paint"! You can get a whole gallon of paint for $5.00 - the good stuff - like Behr and Glidden and Ralph Lauren! (I didn't even know Ralph Lauren made paint!) So I picked out two cans of paint and have been painting my bedroom and living room all weekend (in between working on a big Chez Pierre catering order for a double wedding between a brother and a sister who are marrying the sister and brother of the one brother's boss).

I know it's been a long time since I posted anything, I've been swamped at work and my younger brother, Fred, got dumped by his girlfriend. He's been sleeping on my couch, eating all my food, and playing Guitar Hero III on Wii. (I'm getting pretty good at Easy - I got an 86 note streak yesterday!)

So, they moved the date of the wedding to May 10th - the day before Mother's Day. According to Glinda (who heard it from the groom) the bride was upset by the Celestial Cycle of the something-something and so the date was moved to accommodate the Alignment of the Planets and the something-something *lots of Hippie arm gestures*
Yesterday, I got a phone call from the bride, Lotus Blossom - I kid you not, that is her name - I know it's the pot calling the kettle black - Rhoda Dendrin - what can I say, My parents have a sense of humor! (My brother's real name is Friendren Dendrin- sometimes I wonder what my parents were thinking!!!). Anyway Lotus called me and told me to get a pair of flip-flops to go with my dress! (I picked up a pair at the Dollar General around the corner from my apartment.) At least it's a Spring Wedding! Also, she wants us to wear our hair down and flowing natural. If the cake is Soy Based I'm not eating any!

I don't have to be a bridesmaid. The wedding is Off!

I am STILL in the wedding of people I don't know. I guess I might know them if I hadn't have moved East to study Culinary Arts in some of the Best restaraunts! Oh, Bummer! ;o) The only reason I'm here now is because I got an AWESOME job offer to be Assistant Head Chef at Chez Pierre! (That means Pierre is the ONLY person higher than me!!!)

Oh, and I went for a fitting of my dress this morning - the first time I'd seen it! I would swear it's an April Fool's Joke! Here's a Preliminary photo (It's not done yet! Horror! and that really is my bouquet!):

So, I've been friends with Glinda for several years now. She has this friend who is getting married and they needed bridesmaids, he (yeah the groom is her friend) begged Glinda to be in the wedding AND she agreed to find a second bridesmaid.
